RE-ROOFING
Sometimes the roof you have isn’t the roof you want or need! Factors like old age or even a simple change of taste in style might mean that a complete re-roof is needed as opposed to a restoration. Restorations look at restoring old roofs to brand new, however when your roof is too far gone (old age and damage) and cannot be restored - Re-roofs look at completely replacing a roof in its entirety. As tempting as restoration or repairs may be, they end up being more costly and timely in the long run when its a reoccurring issue having new leaks and problems arise constantly.

When it is decided that a full re-roof is needed, Empire can help choose colour options and materials suited for your home and weather environment. When everything is set in stone, Empire commence work by removing the existing roof tiles and everything on top. With your roof exposed, we can continue to assess and examine your roof space for any needed attention underneath the surface like rotten wood battens.
Our next step once the roof space is ready is installing Reflective Insulation at your discretion. Though not a necessity, this lining paper reduces summer heat gain and winter heat loss your home. This installation can be very cost effective on household energy bills.
On a tiled roof; Once the the foundations have been set, Empire lay the tiles down from gutter to top and begin bedding and pointing. We’ll also fit the valleys and work on the ridges during this time. when everything is set and ready, Empire apply a water proof sealer along with 2 coats of colour if needed.
On a tin/Colorbond roof; Empire lay the sheets down and secure all the screws and bolts again making sure the roof is water tight.
